If you've shopped at Corset-Story before, you might notice that we've made some changes recently. The Burlesque clothing has been expanded to encompass far more corsets, costumes, clothes, and accessories that ever before. It's because we love the burlesque section and everything it represents- gorgeous women strutting their stuff in costumes we provided and both performers and audiences having a whole lot of fun- and because we've had such a strong response to new designs in this area. It seems that you love burlesque just as much as we do.
The range centres on corsets, the most essential of all burlesque clothes, but also includes selected skirts, tutus, ruffle pants, boleros, and more. There are separate sections for Fascinators, which can be used on stage or off, and eyelashes. Nothing says bold and beautiful like a bright corset with a hint of the same colour at the eyes. Most of the corsets are steel boned and can be laced to reduce the waist by up to five inches if that's what you want.
There are two approaches to burlesque clothing. The simplest thing to do is to go for a complete outfit with an overbust corset and combined skirt. This ensures that your ensemble will mesh well and look good as a unit, and it can also be helpful if you'll have to change outfits quickly backstage. On the other hand, buying a corset separately and then building an outfit around it gives you more freedom to individualise your look. Of course, you'll also be able to use the corset as part of other ensembles. This might come in handy if you're only likely to wear your full burlesque get-up a few times a year.
